Your game on Discord
Test build 0.1.393: your friends on Discord see the mission you are on and where you are, with a picture for each place. Voices, music, sound effects and menu sounds each have their own volume, and the opening film's narration plays at the right level.

Development update. Everything here is in the current test build, 0.1.393. Details will change.
Your game on Discord
If you have the Discord app open while you play, your friends can see what you are doing in Nova Eridani. Your profile shows the mission you are on and where you are: in the main menu, watching the prologue, aboard the ESV Meridian, or at Landing Zone 1, with the planet's day or night ("Landing Zone 1 · Night 4"). In co-op it shows how many are in your crew, and it counts how long you have been playing.
Each place has its own picture: the Meridian over the planet in the menu, a city on Earth at dusk for the prologue, the bridge aboard the ship, the drop pod on the grass by day and the pines under the stars by night.
There is nothing to sign in to and nothing to link: the game only talks to the Discord app on your own PC, and if Discord isn't running, nothing happens. If you would rather keep it to yourself, Settings > Show activity on Discord turns it off. Some missions would give the story away by their names alone, so those show a neutral line instead.

A volume for each kind of sound
The settings page now has a volume for voices, music, sound effects and menu sounds, each under the master volume. Turn the music down and keep Melanie clear, or the other way round. They work from the title screen and from the pause menu.

The narration, at the right level
The opening film's narration was quieter than Melanie's voice aboard the ship. It now plays at the same level, and follows the voices volume like every other line.
